NGN Attended Turkcell Technology Summit

Turkcell Technology Summit, co-sponsored by NGN, Dell EMC and Intel, brought together the major players of the sector with the IT professionals.

The 9th edition of Turkcell Technology Summit took place at Haliç Congress Center on April 4th to 5th with the participation of the leading technology companies in Turkey and in the world. The sessions, which were fully broadcasted live, addressed remarkable technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, internet of things, 5G and Industry 4.0.

Ahmet Arslan, Minister of Transportation, Maritime and Communications, one of the speakers in the event, indicated that it is prescribed that all professions made by humans can be made by artificial intelligence until the year 2136. He further added: communication networks can be fully managed by artificial intelligence without human touch in the near future, and subscription transactions devised by humans can be perceived and instantly carried out by the network.

Faruk Özlü, Minister of Science, Industry and Technology, another speaker of the Technology Summit 2018, reported that the share of high-technology products in our export will increase steadily. Mr. Özlü indicated that the steps taken by Turkey to become a major player with its own car brand in automobile sector are based on this belief and potential. He added that the government will continue to provide full support to the ‘‘Einstein’’s of artificial intelligence in the future as well.

Ömer Fatih Sayan, Chairman of Information and Communications Authority, reported that they are focused on ensuring that big data is not transferred out of Turkey and are also focused on making Turkey a data hub. He also mentioned that users should improve themselves in relation with the use of their personal data.

Participants visiting the stand of NGN had the opportunity to get information from the authorized officers about the solutions of NGN and Dell EMC. Müfit Süer, Assistant CEO at NGN, welcomed the visitors at NGN’s stand, and gave a message in line with the emphasis made on data center in the speech of Ömer Fatih Sayan, Chairman of Information and Communications Authority, that Star of Bosphorus will be launched on April 25th as one of the most secure and most advanced data centers in Turkey.
